The series uses accurate history to unfold events between European families and royalties and the rise of corsairs and pirates, but also musketeers, and their adventures through the clash of civilizations, thrones and then even faiths. In this first season Jean Fleury wishes to be royal guard but this requires nobility and he instead comes back to his native coast and becomes the corsair who will loot most of Cortes’ treasure from the most powerful Roman-German-Spanish Emperor Charles Vth. Fell in love with the sister of more noble friend he finally got her love before being hung by the Emperor and yet know that their love bears a fruit to honor his name and fame on.
